#9 What makes a good life?

The Harvard Study of Adult Development study people about what really keeps people happy and healthy. The clearest message is : Good relationships keep us happier and healthier.
The first is that social connections are really good for us.The second is that it's not just the number of friends you have, and it's not whether or not you're in a committed relationship, but it's the quality of your close relationships that matters. And the third big lesson that we learned about relationships and our health is that good relationships don't just protect our bodies, they protect our brains.
The good life is built with good relationships.
I think relationship for family or friend is important. Every time together to talk and share life, sometimes celebrate some achievement or festival. We get together taking an interest in each other’s lives, shareing stories and memories. And a gentle greetings even can bring caring and happiness.

#8 Do you procrastinate sometimes? Why do you procrastinate? How to stop procrastinating?

View on Vocaroo >>

I would procrastinate occasionally, and I think most people do the same thing sometimes.  I think people who procrastinate is because of poor time management.
Sometimes I watch the video and go out to play which uses much time for fun and leisure. And sometimes I used too much time to focus on only one thing like making a presentation. When I need to do another route if it approaching the deadline, I would feel a lot of stress.
So I think people who have  high capacity for self-control can make good use of time. We can planning times and following the itinerary to ameliorate procrastination first.

#7 Inside the mind of a master procrastinator

keywords I learn from the talk :

1.procrastination (n) 拖延
to keep delaying something that must be done, often because it is unpleasant or boring
2.rational (adj) 理智的
based on clear thought and reason
3. mayhem (n)混亂
a situation in which there is little or no order or control

Summarize the talk :

The speaker Tim Urban talk about procrastinator who always lives entirely in the present moment and seldom think about past or future at that time. The panic inside their mind will put pressure to them if the things they need to do have deadline. But in non-deadline situations,  they have nothing to wake up.  And it can be the source of a huge amount of long-term unhappiness, and regrets.

Introduce the talk :

Grit is passion and perseverance in our future, living life like a marathon, not a sprint. Carol Dweck developed the idea called "growth mindset", it shows  that the ability to learn is not fixed, that it can change with your effort.  They're much more likely to persevere when they fail, because they don't believe that failure is a permanent condition.

#4 I think the Hyperloop can be realistic in the future. By putting it in a vacuum tube, it drastically reducing travel times, and these technologies are more efficient and they save energy. Although  the Hyperloop has not completed yet, and it has several unknown risks, but from small beginnings comes great things. I believe that it will have amazing results in the future.
